The documentary features excerpts from Ramin Niami’s film MICHAEL: a docudrama short film from 1976 set in the mining community of South Wales, about the relationship between a Welsh father working in the coal mines and his teenage son.
MICHAEL (1976) was chosen by the BFI at the time of its release, to screen at festivals around the world.
This new film is a return almost 50 years later to the former mining towns where MICHAEL, to see what has happened to the place and the people there.
